Captain Jason Geddes will be relieved by Commander Garth Storz in a Change of Command ceremony on March 6th. On this visit there will be several opportunities for participating Association Members.
On Thursday 5 March at 10:00 AM there will be an Awards Ceremony for all hands at the Dealey Center Theater on base. After the awards are completed we will present our new 1st Deployment Coins to the crew, shake their hands and thank them for all of their hard work.
After the awards ceremony Rick hopes to take several of our association members who are interested aboard to cook one last time for Capt. Geddes. We will can use this opportunity to allow a tour of the boat for members who have not yet done so.
Thursday evening we are trying to arrange a dinner for current command leadership and their wives, the Prospective Commanding Officer, CDR Garth Storz, and his wife and any of our association members desiring to attend.
Friday 6 March - Change of Command ceremony will held at 10:00 AM in the Dealey Center Theater. It will last approximately 1 hour and there will be a reception afterwords.
On Friday afternoon, if there is enough interest, we will request a presentation by the Undersea Warfare Development Center on their activities.
Change of Command is a “By Invitation” event with an RSVP required.

This information will be presented to base security to allow base access for the event. Once the information is received by squadron, you will receive an invitation by mail. Return the RSVP and your name will be on the list.
