On Veterans Day, Association members Norris Hermsmeyer and JJ Mackin attended the annual Veteran's Day program at CU Boulder on November 11th. This year's speaker was retired Navy Seal Admiral William McRaven via recorded video. This event is presented by the University Memorial Center and the Student Veteran Association.

The University Memorial Center at CU is the Official Colorado Veterans Memorial that pays tribute to all Colorado veterans, men and women, who have served or are currently serving our country. The Veterans Memorial Lounge displays plaques memorializing Colorado veterans who died in all conflicts since World War I. Additionally there are artifacts on display from USS Colorado (BB-45), including the ship's bell and stern pilot wheel. The ship's bell that served on the first two USS Colorado's was added in 2015 and a duplicate of the bell that currently serves on SSN-788 was donated by the USS Colorado (BB-45) Association.
